One month to go until WorldSBK returns to the UK!

Wednesday, June 15 2022

The ferocious Motul FIM Superbike World Championship title fight is just a month away from the annual visit to Donington Park (15-17 July), with the planet's top superbike contenders set for a trio of races at one of the world's most popular bike racing venues.

Tickets are available in advance at discounted prices, with additional savings for teenagers aged 13-15 and free entry for children under-13.  Click here to book now!

This year's battle for honours is focused firmly on Ducati's Alvaro Bautista, Kawasaki's six-time champion Jonathan Rea and Yamaha's reigning champion Toprak Razgatlioglu.

The charging trio have been almost inseparable all year, having swapped places at 200mph, rubbed shoulders, settled races on the final lap, and even collided on occasion. Now they're focusing their attentions on Donington Park, which always delivers top notch racing, and this year should be no different with so much at stake. Expect Brits Alex Lowes and Scott Redding, plus wildcards Leon Haslam and Tarran Mackenzie, to be in the thick of the action too!

Bautista leads the way courtesy of six wins so far, including two at the most recent rounds at Misano, while Rea has five to his name. Bautista's championship lead is 36 points, but the battle looked very similar to this when the field headed to the East Midlands in 2019, only for Rea to begin a sensational run of form that led him to his fifth title.

Razgatlioglu is a little further back having had more than his share of misfortune, but has been right with the top-two all season. The Turkish contender was sensational at Donington last year with two victories, and he'll need more of the same if he's to start his fightback.

Fans have three WorldSBK contests to look forward to, coupled with a packed support race roster including World Supersport, World Sidecars and the Yamaha R3 Cup, plus the National Ducati V2 Cup and British Junior Supersport.

As well as the red hot action on track, there's plenty to see around the venue including the ever popular Paddock Show featuring hours of entertainment on stage each day, including rider appearances, competitions, giveaways and concerts.

Discounted tickets for the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship at Donington Park are available in advance until 4pm on Wednesday 13 July. For more information and to book, including details on grandstand upgrades, call 0344 225 4422 or click here
