Live streaming for British F3 as part of expanded 2019 TV package

Tuesday, March 05 2019

MSV is pleased to announce a significantly enhanced TV offering for this season's BRDC British F3 Championship, with the majority of races to be streamed live online for the first time. This strengthens British F3's comprehensive free-to-air broadcast package, which includes the extension of MSV's partnership with ITV to broadcast a one-hour highlights show on ITV4.

All 16 Sunday races, including those at Spa-Francorchamps, will be streamed live on the internet in full-HD 1080p quality, and will feature detailed on-screen graphics showing race positions, championship standings, and intervals between drivers.

An expert commentator, expected to be David Addison, Martin Haven or Andy McEwan, will voice all the races, with David Addison continuing in his role as commentator for the ITV4 highlights programme.

The live streaming will be in addition to the existing highlights package with ITV4, which includes an hour-long highlights programme broadcast the weekend after each race event. There will be additional coverage on BT Sport and in various individual territories across the world. The highlights show will also be available to view online via the ITV Hub. Hayfisher Productions will film and produce both the live and highlights coverage.

MSV Chief Executive Jonathan Palmer commented: "We are delighted to be able to reach agreement with SRO and Hayfisher Productions to stream all of our Sunday races live in 2019. This will perfectly complement our existing arrangement with ITV for our dedicated one-hour highlights show, and will increase the exposure for the teams and drivers who will be competing in this year's championship.

"British F3 is shaping up to be stronger than ever this year: we have 16 drivers already confirmed and there is huge interest in the remaining drives. We have an excellent calendar, a co-headline partnership with British GT that ensures we benefit from prime timetable slots, and now one of the strongest TV packages of any championship in the UK. It's a very exciting time for everyone involved in British F3!"
