Friday, May 27 2022

Fortec's title challenger Nikolas Taylor punched in the best time of the week in the final GB4 test session of the day at Donington Park.

The British-Malaysian contender's best lap of 1m29.344s came just inside the final 10 minutes of the 40 minute session and put him less than a tenth of a second clear of Elite's championship leader Alex Walker, who improved late on.

Max Marzorati climbed to third with a late lap of his own, just over a tenth away from Walker and 0.087s clear of Kevin Mills Racing's Jarrod Waberski in fourth, with the top-four covered by less than three tenths of a second.

Newcomer Daryl DeLeon was inside the top-five again for new entrants Valour Racing, 0.011s ahead of Elite's session two topper Jack Sherwood.

In turn, Sherwood was 0.036s ahead of Kevin Mills Racing's Tom Mills, while Valour's other newcomer Danny Harrison was eighth and the final driver within a second of the outright pace.

Hillspeed's Megan Gilkes and Fortec's Jessica Edgar completed the top-10 in the final session.
