British GT Championship kicks off at Oulton Park this weekend

Monday, July 27 2020

National level motorsport returns to Oulton Park this weekend, courtesy of the British GT Championship's stunning, multi-class grid of supercars. The BRDC British F3 Championship will feature on the bill too as the picturesque Cheshire circuit belatedly hosts its first major event of the season.

Spectators are welcome to enjoy two full days of action on 1/2 August, including Sunday's double-header of British GT action, with the venue operating at a reduced capacity, with a range of hygiene and social distancing measures in place in place to ensure that visits are safe and enjoyable. Click here  to download the latest summary, in accordance with COVID-Secure guidelines.

British GT is the UK's leading sports car racing series, with top-class professionals with experience at the highest level pairing up with some of the country's leading amateur drivers. These drivers share sumptuous supercars from McLaren, Bentley, Mercedes-AMG, Ferrari, Lamborghini and more in endurance style races with pit stops, driver changes and plenty of intrigue.

The multi-class grid means that there will be lapped traffic to deal with for the fastest cars in the two GT races, each an hour long.

BRDC British F3 begins for 2020 too this weekend, with four races as part of a revised weekend format. A fantastic grid of talented young drivers will hope to impress and follow in the footsteps of F1 star Lando Norris who graced the championship just a few years ago.

To guarantee admission to this event you must purchase tickets in advance by 4pm on Friday 31 July. Those in possession of a valid season or resident's pass may attend as normal with no need to pre-register.

In order to comply with guidance from the relevant motorsport authorities, visitors will not be able to access the paddock and pit lane for the time being.
