Brands Hatch welcomes visitors to retro GP circuit Superprix

Monday, July 06 2020

Brands Hatch will open its gates to day visitors for the first time this summer at the Legends of Brands Hatch Superprix on 11-12 July.

The venue will operate at a reduced capacity for the summer highlight on the full Grand Prix circuit, with a range of hygiene and social distancing measures in place to ensure that visits are safe and enjoyable.

The Kent circuit's classic longer layout will reverberate with the sounds of single-seaters, GT, sports racing and touring cars from the past six decades across two sublime days, with more than 320 cars expected to take part across the programme.

Showpiece races will include the HSCC Aurora Trophy for powerful single-seaters, including the thunderous Formula 5000 machines of the mid-1970s. Other popular classes in action include the hugely entertaining Historic Touring Cars, which recreate the BTCC's swinging '60s with Ford Cortinas and Minis.  You can click here to view a full entry list.

In order to comply with guidance from the relevant motorsport authorities, visitors will not be able to access the paddock and pit lane for the time being, and no overnight stays will be permitted until at least the end of July (other than for competitors).
