Tuesday, February 26 2019

The Donington Park motorsport season will get off to a special stage start this Sunday (3 March) courtesy of the Donington Stage Rally.

The event, part of the Motorsport News Stage Rally Championship, will see a capacity 80-car entry list full of rally classics such as Ford Escorts and Subaru Imprezas, as well as other special machinery, take on the challenges of Donington Park transformed into seven individual stages.

A number of star names are confirmed to take part in the event including FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission President Nathalie McGloin, former Le Mans winner Guy Smith, TV stunt man Paul Swift, and Motorsport News Stage Rally Champion Chris West.

Action will commence at 9.20am and is scheduled to last for eight hours, ensuring plenty of track activity and scope for drama!

As well as the fierce competition on track, a display area featuring a number of rally cars and a separate assortment of cars from the Derby branch of the Ford RS Owner's Club will be available to view in the paddock throughout the day.

Spectators will be able to enter the venue from 7.30am, with the paddocks open to all visitors so fans can watch the crews and drivers prepare the cars between stages.

Tickets are available in advance until midday on Thursday (28 February), priced £13 for adults, while children aged under 13 go free. For more information or to book, click here.
