Festival Italia returns to Brands Hatch this weekend

Monday, August 12 2019

Brands Hatch's popular Festival Italia returns this weekend with a sublime spread of family fun, ranging from themed on-track race action to a sumptuous off-track line-up to match.

Racing will be headlined by the Pirelli Ferrari Formula Classic series on Sunday 18 August, when a stunning range of prancing horses from the '70s, '80s and '90s storm around the Indy circuit in two thrilling races. The first of these will even be preceded by a free of charge grid walk, allowing spectators to take a closer look at the cars as they prepare for battle.

Additional racing will come from the BRSCC Alfa Romeo Championship and a pair of 'Italiano vs the rest of the world' races plus bonus Ferrari action from the Ferrari Club Racing series.

That's not all you'll see on-track either as there will be two F1 demonstrations featuring machinery from Dallara, Benetton, Osella, and more. The circuit will also be used for Italian car and bike parades as the day draws to a close, bringing things to a rapturous finale.

Off the circuit, you'll see the event's biggest car displays ever as hundreds of machines from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Fiat, Abarth, Lancia and way more besides fill the venue. All of these will be judged on the day by an expert panel from event partner Auto Italia magazine to find the best cars on display.

Auto Italia's involvement will also extend to a special 'Auto Italia Zone' display area which will showcase a number of special, interesting and rare Italian cars curated by the magazine's knowledgeable specialists.

On top of all that, there will be live music, Italian language lessons, food stalls, children's pizza making, and much more besides.

Discounted advance tickets for the most bellissimo day in racing are available in advance from £20 until midday on Thursday, with discounts for 13-15-year-olds, whilst under-13s go FREE.
