One month to go until BTCC’s ‘Diamond Double’ at Snetterton

Thursday, June 28 2018

There's just a month to go until the spectacular 'Diamond Double' event for the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Snetterton on 28-29 July celebrating the 60th anniversary of the series.

The event's final race will be a special double length contest over 20 laps, which promises to be a no-holds-barred affair that should deliver double the fun, double the drama and double the controversy! Such is the occasion that the race will also have its own qualifying session on Saturday evening, when all cars in the race will uniquely run without ballast!

If drama is your thing, then the BTCC always delivers, and this year's title battle is about as wide open as it could possibly be! There have been 11 different winners from the 15 races held so far and a number of surprise results.

The usual contenders are up front, with Colin Turkington currently leading the way ahead of Tom Ingram and Matt Neal. Former champion Andrew Jordan is hunting his first win of the year, while reigning champion Ashley Sutton enjoyed a welcome return to form at Croft last time out and secured his first two wins of the year.

The three BTCC contests will be supported as ever by some of Britain's top categories; the sports cars of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, Ginetta GT4 Supercup and Ginetta Juniors, fierce tin-top action from the Renault UK Clio Cup, and up-and-coming single-seater stars from the F4 British Championship.

Tickets are available in advance for the BTCC at Snetterton on 28-29 July, priced from £28, with free entry for children aged 13 and under, and discounted rates for teenagers aged 13-15. For more information or to book, click  here.
