EnduroKA attracts record entry for Donington Park event

Friday, April 23 2021

The MSV Trackdays run EnduroKA series looks is set to go from strength to strength in 2021, starting from this weekend at Donington Park, where the series will welcome a record-breaking 50 entries.

This marks a fantastic start to the year for the popular endurance racing category, which was introduced two years ago for Ford KA hatchbacks built between 2002 and 2008. The series has rapidly established a niche for itself in the UK's club racing scene, opening up the world of long distance racing to a fresh audience.

This weekend sets a new benchmark for entry numbers for the series, beating the previous record of 48, an excellent achievement for a series so young, especially in the wake of the ongoing global situation.

This weekend's five-hour endurance race kicks off another year of affordable, long distance racing. Cadwell Park's race will last six hours in a month's time, ahead of one of the series' marquee events - the 12 Heures du Norfolk in June. The series then heads to Oulton Park for another five-hour race ahead of two visits to Brands Hatch - the first with a four-race sprint format, the latter the Indy KA 500.

There are some high profile entries this weekend, include the official Burton Power team and a car entered by popular motoring website PistonHeads. Then there's the small matter of Le Mans winner Nick Tandy - previously a victor in the series - and his JTR team who return to the fray.
