Masters Endurance Legends set for Brands Hatch return this May

Friday, April 16 2021

The Masters Endurance Legends series will return to the full Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit, with the confirmation this afternoon that the sports prototype category will be added to the Masters Historic Festival line-up on 29-30 May.

The Masters Endurance Legends last raced at the Kent circuit's nostalgia weekend in 2018, when Rui Aguas claimed a double victory in a Peugeot 908 LMP1 sports car.

Unlike other championships and series for historic sports cars, the Masters Endurance Legends is open to machinery that raced at Le Mans through the 90s right up to the 2010s. This creates a race chance to see rare machinery from sports car racing's recent past, including ex-works cars that wouldn't have had the opportunity to race at Brands Hatch in period.

This new addition to the weekend adds an extra element of excitement to the two-day event, which is already a historic highlight on the Brands Hatch calendar. The Masters Historic Formula 1 races will celebrate the venue's past as the host of British Grands Prix in the '70s and '80s, and there will be much more besides, including races for classic touring cars and GTs.

The event will also feature demonstrations from special historic F1 cars.

Tickets for the Masters Historic Festival at Brands Hatch are available in advance from £20 with free entry for under-13s. For more information, please call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
