Alex Brundle goes top in F2 test session two

Wednesday, March 30 2011

Alex Brundle was the quickest man in the second session of Formula Two testing at Snetterton. The young Briton set a time a tenth of a second quicker than his morning time to be fastest ahead of Tobias Hegewald and Miki Monras.

F2 returnee Mirko Bortolotti improved on his morning showing to be fourth fastest, with Ramon Pineiro and Mihai Marinescu fifth and sixth.

Brundle commented; "We're all learning the venue still, so it's closing up. People were on it straight out of the box, but it's a technical tricky sort of track and it's the place that you need to come and learn over days not hours, so there's definitely more to come.

"We've got a boost session now so we will pop on a set of new tyres on and see what we got. It's a good exercise and good to see that I'm still up the front of the field in almost every session, so it bodes well for the season and another venue conquered."
