2018 Bennetts British Superbike Champion Leon Haslam outpaced his Team HRC stablemate Alvaro Bautista in testing in Portugal yesterday ahead of the start of the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship season.

Donington Park local Haslam, who moved from Bennetts BSB to WorldSBK last season, was fastest on the first official test day last week in Jerez, Spain, and maintained momentum in Portugal yesterday with a top-six finish, two seconds faster than an unhappy Bautista.

WorldSBK returns to Donington Park on 3-5 July, when Haslam will line up on the grid alongside 2019 Bennetts BSB champion Scott Redding, five-time winner Jonathan Rea and fellow Donington local Alex Lowes. Early bird tickets offering a £5 saving on weekend adult admission are now on sale - but only until Friday, so book now and save!

The weekend features three WorldSBK races plus top-class support action, with paddock access and fantastic live entertainment from the Paddock Show.
