Hill leads Kiyo in warm up

Monday, August 30 2010

Tommy Hill topped a hectic morning warm up session at Cadwell Park this morning as the tension builds ahead of the two MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship races at Cadwell Park this afternoon.

Hill moved to the top of the times with six minutes of the session remaining, but it was HM Plant Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari who moved to second in the closing two minutes of the session as he aims to close the gap on the Worx Crescent Suzuki pole-sitter ahead of the races this afternoon.

Michael Laverty was third fastest for Relentless Suzuki after getting pushed down the order by Kiyonari in the closing stages, but his team-mate Alastair Seeley who is currently battling for the final Title Fighter position was only thirteenth on the timesheets behind Stuart Easton in eleventh, whilst Buildbase Kawasaki's John Laverty was sixteenth.

Josh Brookes was fourth fastest at the chequered flag, despite leading the session in the early stages as Simon Andrews worked his way up to fifth to knock Michael Rutter's Ridersmotorcycles.com Ducati to sixth with Swan Honda's James Ellison in seventh place. Motorpoint Yamaha's Dan Linfoot climbed the order to ninth with Yukio Kagayama rounding out the top ten.
