Exciting mix of machinery revs up for Cadwell Park visit

Sunday, August 15 2010

An eclectic mix of sports and saloon cars are heading to Cadwell Park this weekend (21/22 August) for two days of racing on the narrow and undulating Lincolnshire circuit.

Action this weekend includes the Lotus Elise Trophy, and these lightweight sports cars should provide dramatic viewing over the crests and rises in the circuit.

There will be a field of huge variation from the VAG Trophy, with cars from Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen all expected to appear, and a similar mixture will also appear in the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons for pre-1994 cars.

A huge entry list will participate in the Production BMW championship for BMW E30 cars produced between 1983 and 1990. The size of the grid provides thrilling racing and a winner is always hard to predict. Providing extra Bavarian flavour over the weekend will be the Golf GTI Championship.

Further action will be provided by the Darlington & District Motor Clubs Northern Saloon and Sportscar Championship, a series which the name suggests, races mainly in the North of the country. This series features a mix of machinery from over ten manufacturers, including Porsche, Seat and Lotus.

Completing the line up is the Nippon Challenge, Sports 2000 and MR2 Race Series.

Tickets for the MSVR Club Car Championships at Cadwell Park on 21/22 August are available from £10 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
