This sumptuous summer spectacular will pay tribute to the heroes of yesteryear on 30 June and 1 July, with all kinds of cars from the past five decades of motor racing set to star.

The line-up will include everything from powerful '60s and '70s single-seaters to bonkers Super Touring Cars from the British Touring Car Championship's '90s heyday. Older touring cars will star too, ensuring that there are plenty of tin top thrills and spills on the classic Grand Prix circuit.

Retro F1 cars will be in action too, with the Historic Grand Prix Car Association set to offer up a recreation of the sport's swinging sixties. These cars hail from the classically-modelled, pre slicks and wings era, in which Jim Clark and Graham Hill ruled the roost. The track has changed little since those days making it the perfect setting!
