Thiim and Farmer lead British GT FP1 at Brands Hatch

Nicki Thiim and Mark Farmer topped the time sheets in the opening practice session of the British GT Championship weekend at Brands Hatch this morning (Saturday).

Thiim topped the times with a lap of 1m26.377s in their TF Sport Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3, ahead of this afternoon's qualifying sessions. Ian Loggie and Callum Macleod's Bentley was second fastest, half a second behind, with Jonny Adam and Flick Haigh's Aston Martin narrowly edged into third place.

The championship leading duo of Phil Keen and Jon Minshaw were fourth fastest in their Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan GT3, just ahead of Derek Johnston and Marco Sorensen in the second TF Sport Aston Martin in fifth. Keen and Minshaw could seal the championship this weekend if results go their way.

The Team Parker Racing Mercedes-AMG of Nick Jones and Scott Malvern topped the GT4 table, from Michael O'Brien and Charlie Fagg's McLaren 570S GT4.
