Snetterton fireworks to raise money for children’s hospices

Friday, October 06 2017

Snetterton race circuit is donating all profits from its upcoming fireworks celebration to a charity that provides support and hospice care for children with terminal or life-threatening conditions across East Anglia.

The family event on Sunday 5 November will raise money for EACH - East Anglia's Children's Hospices - which offers a variety of services for children and their families, including physiotherapy, specialist play, music therapy and end-of-life care.

EACH fundraiser Sophie Mayes said: "We're delighted to be benefiting from this Snetterton fundraiser and encourage people to go along to what sounds like a very exciting event.

"By doing so, you'll be giving to a charity that cares for more than 360 children with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia and supports their families. We have to generate more than £5 million from fundraising every year in order to deliver our vital service, so support from events like this is crucial."

The event offers entertainment for all the family including car displays, the live band Night Train playing in Tyrell's Restaurant, bouncy castles, an adventure playground and local arts and crafts, culminating in a fantastic fireworks display.

Circuit Manager Jamie Hopper said: "This is a real family event so we decided to help a local charity that supports families at the most difficult time in their lives, when children are terminally ill and need a great deal of care.

"Admission is only £5 and children under 13 are free so come and celebrate fireworks night with us and support a really worthwhile cause."

As well as family entertainment off the track, there's on-track action throughout the afternoon too on both the 100 and 200 circuits with passenger laps in rally and test cars plus a cycle ride involving around 500 bikes. A small charge will apply.

The spectacular fireworks display will take to the skies at 6pm, with fantastic views from vantage points across the circuit.

Gates open at 2pm and close at 7.30pm, with bonfire night-themed food and drink available throughout. Night Train will play two one-hour sets in Tyrells at 4.45pm and 6.20pm.

Entry for the cycle ride is £10 and circuit laps are also £5 per person. Admission is £5 on the gate or advance print-at-home tickets can be booked online here.
