The Classic Motorcycle Festival, Donington Park's annual celebration of retro bike racing, returns on 30/31 July with a packed two-day schedule of entertainment. Up to 50 races are expected across the two days for bikes from
the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Machines engaging in battle will include
solos and sidecars, organised by the Classic Racing Motorcycle
Club.
Categories in action include the ACU Classic and Post Classic
incorporating the Wheatcroft Trophy, the Lansdowne Cup for pre-1964
500cc Grand Prix motorcycles, Superbike Originals, BSA Goldstars
and dozens more.
In addition to the superb on track action, there'll be a number of
star guests and big display areas from an assortment of bike clubs,
with plenty of famous machines set to be on show.
???????Meanwhile, a new display organised by the Yamaha Racing
Heritage Club and the return of the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle
Club will ensure there's loads to see around the venue and in the
open paddock.
