Nicki Thiim and Mark Farmer's Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3 topped the time sheets in the opening British GT Championship free practice session of the weekend at Donington Park this morning (Saturday).

The Aston Martin topped the standings for much of the early half of the hour-long session, before briefly being pipped by the Lamborghini Huracan of Phil Keen and Adam Balon. Thiim took the TF Sport prepared machine back to the timing sheets with a late effort of 1m27.951s.

Third place went to the Mercedes-AMG of Ian Loggie and Callum Macleod, with Michael Igoe and Dennis Lind's Lamborghini Huracan fourth, from the Aston Martin of Graham Davidson and Jonny Adam which completed the top-five.
