Astons continue to lead the way at Donington GT decider

Saturday, September 22 2018

Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3s continued to set the pace in the second free practice session of the British GT Championship weekend at Donington Park this afternoon (Saturday).

This time, it was the Beechdean AMR machine of Andrew Howard and Darren Turner which topped the times, before a rain downpour brought meaningful running to a slightly early end.

Mark Farmer and Nicki Thiim's similar TF Sport machine was second, with Sam De Haan and Johnny Cocker completing the top-three in their Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan.

Lee Mowle and Yelmer Buurman's Mercedes-AMG went fourth, ahead of the championship chasing Lamborghini of Jon Minshaw and Phil Keen.

Championship leaders and Flick Haigh and Jonny Adam set the ninth fastest time ahead of the qualifying session at 15:45.
