Rallying spectacle ends Cadwell Park's 2015 season

Wednesday, November 11 2015

Cadwell Park's 2015 season will reach a thrilling climax with this Sunday's (15 November) North Humberside Rally, which will bring a huge and diverse range of cars to the Lincolnshire venue.

The rally forms the second round of the brand new Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship, which visits venues across the country this winter, before returning to Cadwell Park in the spring. The championship has attracted a huge entry, and more than 90 cars are set to tackle the stages at this event.

The entry list covers the greats of rallying's modern era, starting with a strong contingent representing the classic 70s rear-wheel-drive era of Ford Escorts and Lotus Sunbeams. The following decade is covered with a diverse entry from Vauxhall Nova and Renault 5 GT Turbo hatchbacks to the wild Group B Metro 6R4 and Ford Sierra Cosworth.

Modern-day rallying greats entered for the event include the iconic Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evo which dominated the sport at the turn of the century.

The rally will be based entirely within the Lincolnshire Wolds venue, taking advantage of its undulating nature. Spectators will have a superb view of the action, and the eight stages will use parts of the twisty circuit, some of which will be run in the reverse direction, paddock and access roads.

Gates open at 8:30am, with the first stage starting at 9:00am. The final two stages of the single-day event will be run after sunset, bringing the spectacle of blazing headlights, flaming exhausts and glowing brake discs to Cadwell Park.

Spectators will be able to access many of their favourite viewing spots, with the Mountain Top and Club Hairpin grandstands open for the event.

Tickets for the North Humberside Rally at Cadwell Park are available on the gate for £14, with free entry for under-13s. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
