Formula 1 demo to headline Modified Live

Thursday, April 23 2015

Cadwell Park will be the place to be for fans of high-performance this Saturday (25 April), with a Formula 1 demonstration, high-speed competition, off-track displays, plus the chance to get on track in your own car at the Modified Live show.

The event is a celebration of speed and high performance and is headlined by a host of activities on the track, including a spectacular demonstration from a Grand Prix-winning 1990 Benetton Formula 1 car, only the second time a modern Grand Prix machine has taken to the undulating Lincolnshire Wolds circuit.

Cadwell Park's twisty nature is also perfect for drifting, and a thrilling sideways display will be joined by jet car demonstrations and multiple World Record-holder James Dylan's Stuntworld, the most experienced motorcycle stunt team in the country. They'll be performing jumps, wheelies and many more breathtaking feats.

Competitive action comes from the Time Attack Championship, a supercharged battle against the clock fought between drivers of highly-modified cars. A host of extreme machines will be taken to their limits in search of the perfect lap, and they'll be joined by wild versions of old favourites in the Classic and Retro Time Attack class.

The track isn't just restricted to the professionals at Modified Live, and visitors are invited to take on the famous Mountain in their own cars, with three 15-minute sessions available to book for just £25 each. The event organisers recommend booking early via www.modifiedlive.co.uk as these are extremely popular.

The interactive theme continues off the track, with a wide variety of activities on offer. These include a trade area with everything from car accessories to the latest tuning products, and a huge car club display celebrating speed and style. Visitors are invited to enter their own cars with a chance to win prizes in a 'Show and Shine' competition, and there's an 'It's a Knockout' competition, with categories including car pulling, Tug 'o' War, bucking bull, and tyre lifting.

The entertainment covers all ages, with bouncy castles and a free adventure playground amongst the fun for children, and entry to the event is free for under-13s.

Tickets for Modified Live at Cadwell Park on Saturday 25 April are available for just £12 online, with free entry for under-13s. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
