Linfoot edges out Brookes in warm up by 0.038s

Sunday, October 19 2014

Dan Linfoot edged out Josh Brookes in a damp morning warm up session at Brands Hatch this morning as the Quattro Plant Kawasaki rider forged ahead of the Australian in the closing stages.

Linfoot missed out on the podium yesterday and he saved his best until last, with his final lap securing the top spot. Josh Waters was the leading Tyco Suzuki rider in third place as team-mate John Hopkins crashed out unhurt.

James Westmoreland on the lone Buildbase BMW was fourth fastest as team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari opted to sit out the warm up and will make a decision on whether he will race later this morning. Shane 'Shakey' Byrne was fifth fastest ahead of Peter Hickman and Tommy Bridewell.

Yesterday's race winner Howie Mainwaring was eighth whilst Jakub Smrz and Chris Walker completed the top ten.
