Fans can get involved at Snetterton Modified Live event

Friday, June 27 2014

Norfolk's Snetterton circuit is the place to be for enthusiasts of high performance cars and driving on Saturday 5 July, where there's the chance to join the fun on track at the annual Modified Live car show. In addition to watching racing and seeing some outrageous motoring machinery, spectators can drive around the track in their own car.

Headlining the action at this celebration of speed and performance will be stunning demonstrations from Formula 1 and GT1 cars, which will reach spectacular speeds on the circuit's long Senna and Bentley straights, and show off their physics-defying grip through the corners. Just as impressive will be a 1,000 horsepower race truck which will reach speeds of 100mph and powerslide its way around Snetterton.

Competitive action will be provided by the Time Attack Championship, where drivers lap the high-speed Snetterton 200 circuit against the clock in highly-modified cars. Expect these incredible machines to be driven to their limits in the pursuit of the perfect time.

Spectators can try out the track for themselves in their own cars, with on-track sessions available to pre-book for just £20. Alternatively there is the option to sample a spectacular Drift Taxi ride and be thrilled by the masters of sideways driving, who will also be putting on their own breathtaking demonstration during the day.

Off-track there's also plenty to enjoy, with stunt shows, a huge trade village and car club displays from many makes of the performance car spectrum. Proud owners can also enter their cars in the Kleers Show and Shine competition. With displays and activities for all ages, Modified Live is set to be a great summer day out!

Tickets for Modified Live at Snetterton on Saturday 5 July are available for £12 in advance with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information please call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
