Important information - MCE BSB Assen

To help make your visit to the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship round at the TT Circuit Assen even more enjoyable, we have pleasure in providing some important information to help you make the most of your weekend.

Gate opening times
The gate opening times this weekend are as follows:
Friday    8am
Saturday  7am
Sunday   7am

Parking at the TT Circuit Assen is free.

You will need to bring your original tickets to the circuit - copies and receipts are not accepted. Entry to the circuit on Friday is free.  If you don't have tickets you can still buy your tickets at the gate ("Kassa" buildings)  All Grandstands and also the Paddock are available and included in the admission price.

Pit walks
There is a pit walk on Saturday at 13:10 and on Sunday at 9:30. The entrance for the Pit Walk is by the gates alongside the main race control and administration buildings .Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start time.

Ride Assen with MCN
All advance UK ticket holders riding to the circuit will have the once in a lifetime chance to follow in the wheel tracks of the MCE BSB stars following their qualifying session on Saturday afternoon and complete two speed controlled laps of the circuit. The first 200 UK ticket holders presenting their ticket stubs at the circuit welcome centre on Saturday between 1pm and 2pm will guarantee their place in the MCN Ride Assen activity. All riders will need to present a valid UK driving licence.  The circuit welcome centre is located off of the main route into the paddock, on the right hand side just before the tunnel. 

City of Assen
In the City of Assen (5 minutes by car) there are lots of restaurants and bars. The shops in Assen are on Friday open till 21.00. There is also a Museum in the centre of Assen.  Near to the Circuit is the Hotel and Party Centre "de Bonte Wever" and the Welness and a Subtropical Swimming Pool. Next to the TT Circuit Assen there is for the children the "Jeugdverkeerspark".

Policing in the Netherlands
From 1 September 2012 the speed limit on 48% of motorways was increased from 120kph to 130kph however the other limits remain the same; 100kph on national roads, 80kph on regional roads and 50kph in towns and there will be speed traps on all routes. The alcohol limit for driving is also lower at 0.05% compared to 0.08% in the UK and fans should expect checks as you disembark the ferries and around the circuit.

Weekend Camping
In Assen there're several campsites. The addresses can be found at www.ttcircuit.com. The nearest Camping is the TT Camping (Asser Boys), next to the circuit.

You won't miss any of the commentary from anywhere around the circuit by tuning in to 105.8FM.

Event programmes are available for just £5 from the dedicated programme booths. Each programme includes rider profiles and articles on all championships competing this weekend.

You won't miss any of the action with the TT Vidiwall big screens located in front of the Main Grandstand.
