Several famous faces are set to take part in the Masters Historic Festival this bank holiday weekend (25-27 May) at Brands Hatch. Well known musicians as well as names from within the world of motoring community will take to the track to compete against some legendary machinery.

The musical contingent will be formed by AC/DC front man, and self-confessed petrol head, Brian Johnson and Neil Primrose, the racing drummer from Travis. The two will go head-to-head in the FIA Masters Historic Sports Cars race, Primrose driving the iconic Lola T212 with Johnson in a GRD 72s. They will be joined on the grid by former BTCC stars Anthony Reid, Mike Jordan and Chris Goodwin, driving a Chevron B16, Ford GT40 and McLaren M1B respectively.

Johnson will also take on World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff in the Pre- 66 Touring Cars where both shall be driving Mini Coopers. Revered engine tuner Neil Brown will be joining them, racing a Ford Mustang!

Mike Jordan will complement his sportscar outing with an appearance in the 70s Celebration race, competing in a Capri RS2600, where he will race against Patrick Watts. A star of the BTCC's Super Touring era, eyes will be on his MG Metro Turbo as he fights for top honours.

It isn't just the drivers that are celebrities this weekend either, with a host of noteworthy Formula 1 cars competing. Frank Lyons will challenge in his James Hunt McLaren M26 in a field comprising four Lotuses and Two Williams, as well as many others. Masters boss Ron Maydon will also race in his Amon F101.
