Don't miss out on Show and Shine places and rides at Mini Festival

Thursday, June 20 2013

There are still opportunities to take part in events at this weekend's Mini Festival, with the last few remaining places in the AutoGlym Show and Shine competition and the Mini Sport rally rides on the rally stage.

If you think your Mini can clean up in the Show and Shine competition fill in this form and return it to james.caesley@msv.com before the weekend. The Show and Shine contest for the best looking Minis in the festival will be judged on Sunday, with a class for both classic and BMW variants.

Those looking for a bit more of a thrill can sign up for a ride in a Mini Sport rally-prepared MINI Cooper S around the venue's purpose-built rally stage. The rides cost just £25 and  profits from this will go to Cancer Research. The 250bhp MINIs are in full competitive spec and will be running on both days. If you'd like to take part,  email James Caesley with your name, address and which day you would like your ride to be on.

YoungDrive! sessions are also available to book in advance to give 11-17 year-olds their first taste of being behind the wheel of a MINI in a safe, traffic-free environment. You can find out more about YoungDrive! and book your advance place here.

Elsewhere, the on track action is dedicated purely to Mini this weekend with racing from both classic and modern cars. There will also be a special Mini display commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Mini Cooper S, including Paddy Hopkirk's Monte Carlo Rally winning Mini.

Russ Swift headlines the off-track entertainment performing three amazing stunt shows each day. The Red Devils will drop in during the free gridwalk on Sunday and then sign autographs in the bigger-than-ever Trade Village and much more.

Tickets for this weekend's Mini Festival will cost £22 on the gate on Saturday and Sunday. Children 12 years and under get in free. Camping is available during the weekend for £17. Find out more about the Mini Festival at mini-festival.co.uk.
