It’s party time - 4 weeks until MCE BSB at Cadwell Park!

Wednesday, July 24 2013

There's just over four weeks to go until the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship heads to Lincolnshire's Cadwell Park on August Bank Holiday weekend - the county's biggest sporting event.

There is nowhere else in the country like Cadwell Park - surrounded by woodland and with natural undulations across the venue, the tight, twisty circuit is nicknamed the "the Mini-Nürburgring". And at the infamous Mountain section the bikes literally launch in the air - sometimes by several feet! Fans have a perfect view of the action with elevated areas all around the track.

MCE British Superbike title chase heats up
There's a three-way title fight developing between Shane Byrne, Alex Lowes and Josh Brookes at the top of the MCE BSB standings, but Ryuichi Kiyonari and James Ellison are still contenders - and Tommy Bridewell should be a threat too on his Halsall Racing Kawasaki.

There's two MCE BSB races on main raceday Monday, with support races including the brilliant Motorpoint British Supersport Championship, Pirelli National Superstock 1000 and Triumph Triple Challenge.

Spectator experience set to be better than ever in 2013
Cadwell Park has invested in a new footbridge to link the paddock with the pit straight, crossing two sections of the circuit from startline to Coppice and the return leg between Mansfield and the Mountain section. It has been positioned carefully so no spectator views are obscured.

The circuit has also just opened a new childrens' playground, whilst a fun fair will be in operation at this event and a motorcycle trials team will be performing on Sunday and Monday.
