Hill leads Haga to top warm up in Snetterton heat

Sunday, May 27 2012

Swan Yamaha's Tommy Hill scorched to the top of the times in a frantic morning warm up session in the heat at Snetterton this morning as he maintained his position ahead of team-mate Noriyuki Haga as the Swan Yamahas locked out the top two positions.

Hill will start from the front row for the opening race today and he held the advantage in the closing stages from his team-mate Haga. Pole-sitter Josh Brookes who snatched the position yesterday by just 0.001s was third fastest for Tyco Suzuki with Shane 'Shakey' Byrne fourth.

Alex Lowes led the WFR Honda charge in fifth from Supersonic BMW's Tommy Bridewell, with Michael Laverty on the Samsung Honda who was in the duel for the pole position yesterday was seventh. Graeme Gowland made it two WFR Hondas in the top ten in eighth with Ian Lowry bouncing back from his crash yesterday in ninth. Chris Walker had been running as high as second in the early stages rounded out the top ten.
