Fans invited to 'Rush' to Snetterton this week for movie filming!

Monday, April 30 2012

Racing fans are invited to attend Snetterton tomorrow and Wednesday (1-2 May) for a unique opportunity to view the filming for director Ron Howard's forthcoming film blockbuster 'Rush.'

The movie focuses on the epic rivalry of James Hunt and Niki Lauda in the 1976 F1 season, which was ultimately won by Hunt at the season finale at Fuji.

This week's filming will see historic F1 cars take to the track, recreating scenes from the 1976 season.

Snetterton is open to fans who wish to view the filming, which starts at 9am, and are encouraged to attend in period dress.

Speaking on his official Twitter account, Ron Howard said: "Historic F1 cars will be running Tuesday at Snetterton. Come watch the filming/racing and get in the spirit, dress 70s." Howard also appeared on BBC Radio Norfolk today to appeal for fans to view the filming.

The filming will take part at the Bombhole section of the circuit and food and facilities will be available. For more information call the circuit office on 01953 887303.
