Brands Hatch set for truck racing thriller!

Tuesday, October 18 2011

The gloves are off for the final round of the 2011 Delphi British Truck Championship at Brands Hatch on Halloween weekend (29/30 October). With the championships settled and no need for anyone to play the percentage game, it's a free-for-all for the race wins, meaning that this is sure to be the most entertaining round of the season!

Class A's David Jenkins scored two wins last time out to secure the title and whilst he has taken most of the victories this year, Brands Hatch represents the last chance to beat the champion. Chief challenger Ricky Collett lost out on the chance to delay the title outcome and will have a score to settle next weekend.

Meanwhile Terry Gibbon, Ben Horne, Luke Taylor and Steve Thomas are also sure to be in the hunt for the all-important final round victory that will carry them through the winter months with confidence.

Class B has been a happy hunting ground for local man Steve Powell, who will be determined to celebrate his title in front of his home crowd. He will need to watch out for Brian Burt, Trevor Martin and Andy Lovenberry, plus neighbours Dave Smith and Oscar Clark, however.

Truck racing is a hugely popular sport and the drivers leave nothing in reserve as they fight for honours. Expect plenty of thrills and spills on the series' second visit to Brands Hatch this year, with a packed support package providing further action. The Pickup Truck Racing and Legends Cars Championships always provide close racing, as does the BARC South East Saloons series.

With so much action on track at the end of another classic season of racing, this is the perfect time to try out Brands Hatch's VIP viewing opportunities. Whether it's Directors' Terrace or Superview Upgrades or a place in a Hospitality suite, prices start from a very reasonable £30, so it's the perfect spot to enjoy what is sure to be a memorable weekend!

Tickets for Halloween Truck Racing at Brands Hatch on 29-30 October are available in advance from £17, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information, and to book VIP viewing, click here.
