Nicolas Hamilton to compete in Renault Clio Cup

Wednesday, February 16 2011

Nicolas Hamilton, younger brother of former F1 World Champion Lewis, is gearing up for his race debut at Brands Hatch this April after signing up for the 2011 Renault Clio Cup.

19-year-old Hamilton, who has cerebral palsy, gained his National B racing licence earlier this year before signing with Total Control Racing for his maiden competitive campaign.

"I have loved motorsport from a young age and watching my brother achieve so much has given me inspiration to make my own racing debut," he said. "I know this will not be an easy task, but I hope my doing this will give inspiration to others who have challenges in their life."

Hamilton will make his Clio Cup debut at Brands Hatch in early April, as the series supports the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

Tickets for the British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch on 2/3 April are now on sale from £25 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click on the link below.
