BMCRC riders to battle it out for 'Champion of Brands'

Sunday, February 27 2011

Brands Hatch is gearing up for its first racing event of the year, as the British Motorcycle Racing Club (BMCRC) prepares to visit Kent this weekend (5/6 March).

This is the first of four rounds that the BMCRC will host at Brands Hatch in 2011, and riders from the MRO 600 class (Stocksport, Supersport or Clubman), MRO Stock 1000s, MRO Powerbikes or the new MRO Pro-Thunderbike are all eligible for the Champion of Brands competition that the club will be running this year. Riders can count their three best scores from the rounds at Brands Hatch through the year, with the rider with most points claiming the coveted title.

Future bike racing stars will also battle it out in the MRO Superteens category. Last year's champion Tommy Philp has been snapped up to race in the British Superbike Supporting British 125GP series this season, and the 2011 title winner is likely to be marked as a star of the future.

Other categories starting their season next weekend include the MRO Minitwins, the BMCRC Rookie series, the BMZRC 250MZ, as well as two man action from the BMCRC F1 and F2 sidecars that have provided thrilling entertainment over the past seasons.

Tickets for the season opening British Motorcycle Racing Club at Brands Hatch on 5/6 March are available on the gate for £13 per day with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click on the link below.
