Last chance to book discounted Oulton Park BSB tickets

Monday, April 25 2011

After a pulsating start to the 2011 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch, there's just 4 days to go until the next round at Oulton Park this Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday 30 April to Monday 2 May). You can save up to £22 by purchasing tickets in advance before 4pm today (Wednesday).

Tommy Hill heads to Cheshire as the championship leader after a superb weekend at Brands Hatch where he took a second place finish and a victory for Swan Yamaha - despite riding with a fractured elbow! He rode superbly in race one to recover from 11th place after colliding with team-mate Michael Laverty, and held off the HM Plant Hondas of Shane Byrne and Ryuichi Kiyonari in race two to win by just six tenths of a second.

Byrne showed all his class earlier in the day to take a victory on his BSB comeback weekend, and he lies second in the championship standings ahead of MSS Kawasaki's Stuart Easton.

Three day weekend tickets for Oulton Park are £30 online in advance and raceday (Monday) is £25. Children 12 and under go free.

There's two electrifying British Superbike races on Monday and eight support races, and don't miss the BSB debut of Ellesmere Port's Jenny Tinmouth - the first female to compete in the series. There's also a free of charge pit walk to meet the riders, including USA megastar John Hopkins, and family entertainment with a fun fair and face painting for kids.
