Update: Fortec's McKenzie and Webb inherit pole positions

Saturday, September 25 2010

Raikkonen Robertson Racing's Felipe Nasr has been stripped of his pole positions for races one and three of the British F3 Championship at Brands Hatch, after the Brazilian was found to have set both his best times under yellow flags.

Nasr went quickest on his final lap of qualifying, just after two sets of yellow flags had been thrown for Max Snegirev hitting the gravel at Paddock Hill Bend and Adderly Fong going off at Surtees.

As such, officials discounted any time set during the last five minutes of qualifying, which meant Nasr, his team-mate Daisuke Nakajima and six other drivers - Carlin's James Calado and Lucas Foresti, Hitech's Will Buller, Litespeed's Jay Bridger, T Sport's Alex Brundle and Hywel Lloyd - had their best efforts deleted.

The decision means Fortec duo Oliver Webb and Daniel McKenzie will start races one and three from pole position respectively - marking McKenzie's first front row start in British F3.
