Pressure builds in 750 Motor Club Championship stakes

Monday, September 27 2010

The 750 Motor Club visits Oulton Park this Saturday (2 October) for the penultimate event on its 2010 calendar.

The Formula Vee Championship is a two-horse race, but only a disaster will prevent leader Martin Farmer from securing the title, the Sheane driver 47 points clear of nearest challenger Peter Belsey driving a Spyder MK2 with 52 available from two races.

Young Saloon stars of the future will fight it out for the Saxmax championship for teenagers at Oulton Park, with the series' last race of 2010 taking place in Cheshire with four drivers still in with a chance.

Anthony Whorton-Eales has led the championship for the majority of the season but is just two points ahead of Scott Moakes, with Chris Warburton and Aaron Trigwell also within touching distance.

Small, sporty cars will contest the last round of the Stock Hatch series, with Josh Cook's Citroen Saxo and Jeff Humphries' Peugeot 106 battling it for overall honours, with just six points between them, while Lee Scott looks to have secured Class B honours.

Further entertainment will be provided by the MG Midget Challenge, 750 Allcomers, AB Performance RGB Championship and the Demon Tweeks/Yokohama Locost Championship.

Tickets for the 750 Motor Club at Oulton Park on 2 October are available from £10 for adults, with free entry for children ages 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
