Spirits arrive at Brands Hatch for spooktacular Truck Racing showdown!

Friday, October 22 2010

Local British Truck Racing driver Steven Powell received the fright of his life today (Friday) when he encountered a host of spooky characters during a trip to Brands Hatch!

Steven, who lives and works just a few hundred metres from the circuit in West Kingsdown, will be competing on home turf next weekend (30/31 October) at the season finale of the Delphi British Truck Racing Championship - which this year has a Halloween theme.

In preparation for the spookiest day of the year, Powell fended off the evil advances of a team of Brands Hatch staff dressed in Halloween costumes, as part of a special photoshoot to celebrate the 'Truck or Treat' theme for next weekend's event.

Monster machinery
Brands Hatch's Halloween Truckfest will feature four headline races from the Delphi British Truck Racing Championship, along with an exciting support line-up including NASCAR-style Pickup Trucks, Legends and the Mini Se7en and Mini Miglia series.

Spooktacular off-track entertainment for families
The circuit will also be celebrating the scariest day of the year with a bumper line-up of Halloween-themed entertainment away. Highlights include the 'TerrorZone' - featuring frightening face painting, spooky sounds, plus vultures and owls courtesy of Eagle Heights and a ghost train.

Children will have the chance to win a Brands Hatch goodie bag by entering a ghost hunt around the circuit, plus anyone that arrives in spooky fancy dress on raceday (Sunday) will be entered into a 'trick or treat' raffle to win free food, drink or a prize from the Brands Hatch Megastore.

Advance tickets - saving you up to £12 on the gate price - are on sale until midday on Wednesday (27 October).
