Endurance championships to be decided at Cadwell Park

Tuesday, October 19 2010

The Hottrax Endurance Motorcycle Club is gearing up for its season finale this weekend (30/31 October) at Cadwell Park.

Everything is in place for what should be an enthralling weekend of racing, with all but one of the championships to be decided in Lincolnshire.

Two recent back to back wins have seen the TY72 team surge to the top of the National 1000cc championship, while defending champions Sweatshop Racing will be hoping to close them down to end a more difficult campaign than they may have expected.

A disappointing showing last time out saw the fatblokeracewear.com team lose a significant advantage in the National 600cc class, and now just four points separate the top three teams heading into the final round.

Huge grids have featured in the Junior 1000cc class this season, with three teams still in with a shout of overall honours. The favourites are AV-IT and Ridgeback Racing, who have both secured two wins, and are separated by just three points after over 18 hours of racing.

The 600cc class looks to be heading the way of the BLDS team although they remain only seven points ahead of DNA Racing.

The MotoGrande championship has been closely fought throughout 2010, and despite missing two rounds, Pete Wilson still leads the 1000cc championship, with only Gary Bransgrove able to deny him championship glory.

Sam Ludgate is the only rider in 2010 to have wrapped up a championship, but Michael Wallis and Colin Norris will be fighting it out for the runners up spot in the 600cc class.

Greg Allsop has worked wonders with a nine year old bike, claiming six victories and six second places in the Michelin Power Cup, but despite this remains just a point ahead of local rider Jonathan Otter.

Tickets for the Hottrax Endurance Motorcycle Club Championships at Cadwell Park on 30/31 October are available from £10 for adults, with free entry for children ages 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
