Get set for battle: Walker returns to BSB!

Wednesday, March 31 2010

It's the rematch every BSB fan has been waiting for: this weekend (2/3/4/5 April) at the opening round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch, Chris Walker will finally renew his rivalry with former nemesis Neil Hodgson.

Walker has announced a late minute deal that will see him take his place on the grid on Easter Monday on a privately-run Suzuki GSX-R1000, thanks to top tuner Ray Stinger who has prepared the ex-Rutter GSX-R1000 TT.

The 2000 season is still widely regarded by fans as one of the best in BSB history, as Walker and Hodgson fought it out round after round for the title with some controversial clashes and immense on track battles.

Walker said: "I'm delighted to be on the grid again this year. Ray came along with the offer of this Suzuki at the very last minute and it was the perfect opportunity for me. We've missed out on testing but we will be getting more competitive as the season goes. There's a big chance we'll get a significant improvement in our machinery within a few rounds - but even with the bike we've got, we're not giving anything away."

Advance adult raceday tickets are available from £24, with free parking and free entry for children aged 12 and under. For maximum value this Easter weekend you can book advance adult weekend tickets, valid for all four days, from just £29. For more information, call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
