Cadwell Park gears up for Grand Prix celebrations

Wednesday, June 30 2010

Just one week after Formula One appears in the UK, Cadwell Park will be hosting its own Grand Prix celebrations when 140mph Superkarts roar into Lincolnshire on 17/18 July.

The British Superkart Grand Prix is one of the fastest events on Cadwell Park's calendar, as karting stars from across Europe gather at the undulating Louth circuit to compete in one of five different categories - F210 National, 125 ICC, 125 Open, 250 National and the mighty Division 1 Superkarts - all of which will culminate in a grand final event.

2010 is the 30th anniversary of this high speed showdown and to celebrate three decades of the Superkart GP, previous winners including former World Superkart champion Martin Hines will be making a guest appearance at Cadwell Park to demonstrate historic karting machinery.

There will also be action from the pan-European International Superracekart series, which will feature competitors from the Netherlands, Finland, Germany and Sweden.

Discounted tickets are now on sale from just £10 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under.
