Brands Hatch unveils spectacular off track entertainment for BSB

Thursday, July 29 2010

Brands Hatch is counting down to the biggest event on the calendar as the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship returns to the Grand Prix circuit next weekend (6/7/8 August) for the triple-header round, and tens of thousands of fans are set to descend on the Kent track.

MSV has unveiled a huge package of entertainment to support the on-track action, including various family-themed activities, many of which have already proved to be firm favourites with the crowds.

The much-anticipated event features a MotoGP demonstration from Rizla Suzuki's Álvaro Bautista on both the Saturday and Sunday at 4.25pm and 4.10pm. The Alstare Suzuki World Superbike team will also be completing laps with Sylvain Guintoli and Leon Haslam appearing at 4.25pm Saturday and 4.10pm on Sunday respectively.

The Icon Sheene - the world's most expensive production bike - will be on display near the Airfield entrance to the circuit and Steve Parrish is set to perform a demonstration on the race track at 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The National Motorcycle Museum will also be bringing an impressive collection of classic bikes and these will also be located near the Airfield entrance to the circuit.

Children and adults can meet their British Superbike heroes on Saturday and Sunday with a free of charge 'pit walk', where title contenders Tommy Hill and Josh Brookes will be present, along with former double champion Ryuichi Kiyonari and many others.

The event will also feature a stunt aeroplane display by Mark Jeffries on Sunday afternoon and the party atmosphere will continue into the evening with a live music tent, located next to the Kentagon restaurant, and a 'Battle of the Brands' competition from 7.30pm on the Saturday.

The FunZone returns to the event for younger guests and is packed full of exciting activities to keep any young racegoer out of trouble during breaks in our exciting on-circuit timetable. Attractions include mini diggers, free face painting, quads and more.

You can also test your mettle with go-karting on a mini version of the Brands Hatch Indy circuit, located opposite the Megastore. Operated by Buckmore Park, karting is available for all those aged 10+ and costs £12 for ten minutes, payable at the karting circuit.

General public parking is free, and several restaurants and bars will be open throughout the weekend, along with a major trade and exhibition zone. STIHL giant TV screens mean bike fans will miss none of the action, and BSB Radio will be broadcasting race commentary, exclusive interviews and traffic information throughout the weekend on 87.7 FM.

Advance adult weekend admission tickets cost just £30 online with children aged 12 and under admitted free. Limited grandstand and camping tickets are also on sale now. For more information and to book click on the link below or call 0870 950 9000.
