Audi reveals DTM line-up for 2010

Thursday, February 18 2010

Audi has unveiled its full driver line-up for the DTM German Touring Car Championship, as the German manufacturer bids for an unprecedented fourth consecutive title.

21-year-old Miguel Molina joins the squad in 2010 following a successful single seater racing career, which include race wins in Formula Renault 3.5 and Formula 3 Spain. The young Spaniard will replace DTM veteran Tom Kristensen, who will concentrate on a full-time sportcar programme with Audi this year, and Molina will drive a 2008 specification Audi A4.

There are changes for Audi's British contingent this season, as Cambridgeshire racer Oliver Jarvis will line up in latest specification machinery for the first time in his DTM career. 2010-spec cars will also be given to defending champion Timo Scheider, Mattias Ekstrom and Martin Tomczyk.

Briton Katherine Legge will also return to the series but, after racing for Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline last season, the female driver will compete for Audi Sport Team Rosberg in 2010 alongside former F1 driver Markus Winkelhock.

Audi's DTM line up will be completed by Alexandre Premat and Mike Rockenfeller, both of whom will race 2008-spec cars.

With an average age of 27.5 years, Audi's 2010 driver line-up is the youngest squad in its DTM history. The manufacturer will begin its preparations with a driver training camp in late February, whilst the racing season gets underway at Hockenheim in April.

Brands Hatch will host the only UK round of the DTM German Touring Car Championship on 3/4/5 September. Tickets are on sale now from £25 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
