Fight for BMCRC titles hots up heading to Snetterton

Monday, August 30 2010

The penultimate round of the British Motorcycle Racing Club Championships takes place at Snetterton this weekend (4/5 September) with many championships still up for grabs.

16 categories remain undecided, and the competitors will be going all out in order to take their championships down to the wire.

The long straights of Snetterton should provide enthralling racing with overtaking almost guaranteed, but Tony Coombs will be hoping to stay at the front of the Stock 600 field and claim the title in doing so. If results fall the right way he will claim the crown on Saturday.

Other championships likely to be decided this weekend include the Supersport 600, MRO Minitwins, Minitwins Rookies, and Junior Cup.

One category which is more open is the MRO Superteens with all three titles still up for grabs, and looks likely to be decided at the final round at Brands Hatch with 200 points still available.

Tommy Philp and Ryan Watson are close to claiming their titles, but Jake Dixon is only 15 points ahead of Jordan Gilbert.

Other categories in action this weekend include Two Stroke GP Classics, EDIasia Formula 400, Norfolkline Yamaha Past Masters, ThunderbikeUK, and BMCRC 250MZ.

Tickets for the BMCRC at Snetterton on 4/5 September are available from £10 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
