Modified Live cars set to star at Snetterton season finale

Monday, September 19 2011

The spectacular drifting cars of Modified Live are set to wow fans when the series emabarks upon its final round of the season at Snetertton this weekend (24/25 September).

As it's the final Modified Live event of the year, expect lots of gripping action as the European Drift Championship cars get into ever more lurid slides and the Time Attack competitors set some of the circuit's fastest ever laps. With one last chance to make an impression before the winter, the season's best action is expected!

Brett Castle and Paul Conlan are neck and neck in the European Drift Championship points table but Declan Hicks can still defeat the pair of them in the final round. Meanwhile there are many class titles to be won in Time Attack, where the cars range from Subarus and Mitsubishi Evos, to highly modified Sierras, Skylines and a rare Metro 6R4.

There's also racing from the Line-X Pickup Racing Championship and with just two rounds remaining after Snetterton, Steve Dance and Nic Grindrod are only separated by a handful of points. Close and hard-fought battles are typical of this intense series.

In addition to the competitive action there will be superb displays from 1,000bhp race trucks, incredible stunt bikes, fiery drag racing cars and the world's quickest and most expensive Nissan GTRs from the Sumo Power GT race team. These will all provide a superb sideshow to the main event.

There's also plenty to see and do off-track. Whether it's discussing the hottest modifications, checking out the best show and shine cars or joining the search for the next grid girl, head to Modified Live this Sunday at Snetterton.

Tickets for Modified Live at Snetterton are available from £22 on the gate, with free entry for children 12 and under. For more information, call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
