WorldSBK returns to Donington Park on 15-17 July 2022

Thursday, November 25 2021

The Motul FIM Superbike World Championship will return to Donington Park on 15-17 July 2022, following confirmation of the full calendar by series organiser Dorna today (Thursday).

The Donington round once more comes at the height of the summer, and in front of a full crowd for the first time in two years.

The popular three-race format will remain, with two contests on the main Sunday raceday including the Superpole race. A full support package of international and leading national categories will ensure the weekend schedule is as busy as ever, while additional entertainment areas will be located around the venue.

The 2021 season was a modern classic, and saw Jonathan Rea's six year reign as champion finally ended by Turkish sensation Toprak Razgatlioglu, who powered his Yamaha to the title just 13 points clear of the Northern Irishman in a stunning season-long battle.

Razgatlioglu was a double winner at Donington this year, which included a sensational rise through the order in the opening race, as he climbed from 13th to second within half a lap! Both Razgatlioglu and Rea won 13 races across the season, while former Bennetts BSB champion Scott Redding was a regular winner too.

Tickets for the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship at Donington Park will be on sale soon. Click here for a full list of events currently on sale.
