Merry Christmas and happy new year from MSV

Tuesday, December 24 2019

We've reached the end of another superb season of motor racing, driving experiences, track days, corporate events, cycling challenges and much more across MSV's racing circuits and driving facilities. It's fair to say that everyone involved, whether as a competitor, spectator, marshal or official has earned a good rest this December.

It's been a truly outstanding 2019, from Scott Redding's blockbuster raid on the Bennetts British Superbike Championship to the ecstasy and heartbreak of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship as Colin Turkington came back from the brink of oblivion to win a record-equalling fourth title as brake failure ended Dan Cammish's hopes.

History was made at Brands Hatch as Jamie Chadwick became the first ever champion of the all-female W Series single-seater series on #SuperSunday. The inaugural W Series was accompanied on the programme by the DTM and a pair of glorious F1 demo runs from David Coulthard and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing.

Other highlights across the venues included a fantastic double from Jonathan Rea at Donington Park's round of the FIM Superbike World Championship, and an incredible fourth British GT Championship title for Jonathan Adam which was secured at the same venue.

Cadwell Park's annual highlight was as ever the annual 'Party in the Park' whilst Oulton Park revelled in the past at the Oulton Park Gold Cup, which was won by a Williams F1 car, and opened its gates to the FIA World Rally Championship for the first time since 1993. Snetterton hosted its fair share of motorsport magic too, whilst Bedford Autodrome had its own moments including an appearance from David and Brooklyn Beckham on the legendary PalmerSport event!

Everyone at MSV would like to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year and we'll look forward to seeing you back at the track again in 2020.
