Dayinsure Oulton Park Stage: Tickets now off-sale

Friday, September 27 2019

The FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) makes its highly anticipated return to Oulton Park with the opening stage of this year's Wales Rally GB on Thursday, and tickets are no longer available. There will be no on the day sales.

The Dayinsure Oulton Park Stage will star Sébastien Ogier, Thierry Neuville, Ott Tänak and local heroes Kris Meeke and Elfyn Evans, not to mention 2003 World Rally Champion Petter Solberg on his farewell tour, as they tackle a thrilling evening stage around the picturesque venue on Thursday 3 October. The route will feature unique challenges, including a 360 degree donut, and a water splash!

It's worth booking while you can to join us for a full evening's afternoon's entertainment, including DJs, appearances from rally legends (including two-time WRC champion Marcus Gronholm and Colin McRae's former co-driver Nicky Grist), and the Dayinsure Funzone with free of charge fairground rides. One of McRae's cars will even take to the track, in a special demonstration with Olympic cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy behind the wheel.

As a special treat, fans can enjoy stunt action in the Monster Energy Action Arena, with hair-raising drift driving from three of the drinks manufacturer's finest: Steve 'Baggsy' Biagioni, Luke Woodham, and Tessa Whittock. Those three will be joined by Gymkhana precision drivers with action from shortly after 3pm - so come and get in early. Those who arrive earlier can also see the WRC stars carry out a recce of the stage in their actual rally cars.

Another major highlight will be a special display organised with Autocar magazine, celebrating the 75th running of Wales Rally GB, which will be exclusive to the Oulton Park stage. Star cars will range from the Lanchester which won the first running in 1932, to ex-Colin McRae and Richard Burns Subaru Impreza. There will be opportunities for fans to meet the drivers too in a dedicated autographs session open to all spectators.
